Nashville is the home of country music and also the home of the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl. The game is celebrating its tenth anniversary and has a pretty good match-up, Kentucky vs. Florida State.
Let’s get a preview of the game by looking at what the local media that cover these teams are saying.
University of Kentucky (7-5)
The Wildcats had a roller coaster 2007 season highlighted by a signature win over LSU. But they enter this game losers of four of their last five games. Find out more about the team on their web page. If they were not on break, you could find out more from the Kentucky Kernel student newspaper. The campus also has two radio stations, WUKY and WRFL.
Located in Lexington, the University is served by the Kentucky Herald Leader. The Wildcats get plenty of coverage in the paper’s sports section and special online pages. One interesting note is that even with the bowl game close at hand, Wildcat basketball still rules the pages of the paper.
Florida State University (7-5)
The Seminoles did not meet their normal high expectations but are still a popular bowl draw. Get the latest direct from the team. The Florida Flambeau is the student newspaper. Unfortunately they are also off for semester break. WFSU is the electronic media outlet on campus.
Go Cats! Go Noles! Here’s to a good game!
