NBCSN’s Coverage of Big Ten Hockey

Yesterday the NBC Sports Network announced a slate of college hockey games this season featuring teams from Hockey East.  Today the network announced tht it will televise five games from the Big Ten Conference.

Here is the schedule of Big Ten hockey games:

Big Ten Network’s Coverage of Football Media Day

The Big Ten Network (BTN) will have blanket coverage next Thursday of the Big Ten Football Media Days from Chicago.

Mike Hall and Chris Martin will host the network’s coverage from the BTN studios beginning at 11:00am ET.

BTN will televise the full press conferences for all 12 head coaches, as well as Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany and Big Ten Coordinator of Football Officials Bill Carollo.  BTN will also re-air the press conferences at 8 PM ET Thursday.

BTN will also air a 60-minute Big Ten Football Kickoff Luncheon Special at 8 PM ET on Friday, July 27, hosted by Dave Revsine, with analysis from BTN’s Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith.

ESPN Unveils Big Ten Basketball Schedule

The ESPN family of networks will be telecasting a minimum of 36 Big Ten Conference college basketball games this season.

The conference will be showcased as part of the network’s Super Tuesday telecasts beginning on December 27th.  It will also televise games Thursdays beginning January 5th.

The network will also provide coverage of a portion of the Big Ten Conference Tournament in early March.

Big Ten Network Has Football Media Day Covered

The Big Ten Network (BTN) will offer comprehensive coverage of this Thursday’s Football Media Day from Chicago.

BTN will have five hours of live coverage of the days events, including the press conferences of all 12 Big Ten head coaches.  BTN will also cover the press conferences of Big Ten supervisor of football officials Bill Carollo, BTN President Mark Silverman and Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany.

All activities begin at 11:00a.m. ET on the television network as well as BTN.com.  Mike Hall and Chris Martin will anchor the coverage.

BTN will also have coverage of the Big Ten Football Kick-off Luncheon on August 6th.

BTN Set for Arrival Of Nebraska Athletics

The University of Nebraska will formally join the Big Ten Conference this Friday and the Big Ten Network (BTN) is planning a series of programs to welcome Cornhusker fans.

The events begin Friday at Noon ET with a program entitled Big Ten Welcomes Nebraska, an hour long special with interviews of many Nebraska athletic icons. The program will also look at the future of Nebraska athletics within the Big Ten.

Other programs will include a look back at some of the events that shaped the success of Cornhusker sthletics over the years.

CBS/Big Ten Agree on New Deal

CBS Sports and the Big Ten Conference have come to terms on a contract extension that will allow the network to telecast men’s basketball games through the 2016-2017 season.

CBS will telecast a minimum of 24 games featuring teams from the Big Ten Conference.  The network will also continue to telecast the Big Ten Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament semifinal and championship games.

“We are delighted to extend our Big Ten basketball agreement, which has been a cornerstone of our regular-season NCAA basketball coverage,” said Mike Aresco, Executive Vice President, Programming, CBS Sports in a press release. “We have an outstanding and longstanding relationship with the Big Ten and Commissioner Jim Delany, and look forward to many more seasons of broadcasting the rivalries, pageantry and high quality competition of the Big Ten.”
