The Atlantic 10 (A10) Conference today announced long term carriage agreements with ESPN, NBC Sports, and CBS Sports which will allow for coverage of men’s and women’s basketball games through the 2021-2022 season.

ESPN remains the primary rights holder,  televising 14 men’s and two women’s regular season basketball games each year.  ESPN will retain rights to the men’s and women’s conference championship game, televising the men’s game on ESPN, ESPN2 or via sublicense and the women’s game on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU each year.  Conference games will also be made available across ESPN’s varied online outlets.

“The Atlantic 10 is a very deep conference with a proven track record of success at the highest levels of the sport,” said Burke Magnus, ESPN senior vice president, college sports programming. “This long-term extension will continue to serve fans with the Conference’s premier content across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU into the next decade.”

“The partnership between ESPN and the Atlantic 10 Conference is one that we are very proud of. ESPN has been an important media partner with expansive distribution platforms for national and international exposure that has help the Atlantic 10 Conference to grow exponentially.” said A10 Commissioner Bernadette McGlade,  “The strong brand association between the A-10 and ESPN has enabled the conference to showcase its basketball and sports inventory on one of the best sports media networks in the world.”

The NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will be the home of six A10 contests this season and 25 men’s and three women’s contests beginning next season.  The agreement also calls for these games to be streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra.

“We are proud to add Atlantic 10 men’s and women’s basketball games to the NBC Sports Network schedule. The A-10 is an incredibly strong conference and features some of the most historic college basketball programs in the country,” said Jon Miller, President, Programming, NBC Sports and NBC Sports Network. “The A-10 is now one of the pillars of our ever-growing college basketball coverage.”

The CBS Sports Network will air 25 men’s and eight women’s contests each year.  Included is the men’s and women’s semi-finals of the Atlantic 10 Championship.

“The Atlantic 10 has been a terrific partner and we’re proud to continue showcasing action from one of the top college basketball conferences for many years,” said Dan Weinberg, Senior Vice President, Programming, CBS Sports Network.  “Our partnership has been an unquestioned success.  And with the quality of basketball throughout the conference now stronger than ever, we’re excited to annually feature an extensive line-up of games.”
