Sports Media Digest- November 15, 2012

NBA TV Has Most Viewed Fan Night Telecast-  This Tuesday’s Fan Night telecast on NBA TV between the Spurs and Lakers was the most watched game in the history of the series.   The 739,000 viewers was also the second most-watched game on the network so far this season, behind only the opening night telecast between the Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers.

Davis Cup Final on Tennis Channel–  The final of the 2012 Davis Cup will be telecast this weekend on the Tennis Channel.  The matches between Spain and Czech Republic begins this Friday at 10:00a.m ET with the opening two singles matches. Saturday’s doubles begin at 8:00a.m. ET with Sunday second set of singles matches beginning at 7:00a.m. ET.

Championship Boxing Returns this Weekend to HBO–  HBO Sports will have World Championship Boxing action Saturday night.  Live action begins at 10:00p.m. ET as Antonio Demarco takes on Adrien Broner and Seth Mitchell battles Johnathan Banks.  Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant and Roy Jones Jr. will be ringside.

NBC Sports Sets Formula One Announcing Crew–  NBC Sports today announced that motorsports voices Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), David Hobbs (analyst) and Steve Matchett (analyst) will serve as the network’s announcers when it begins coverage of the Formula One circuit next March.  Diffey will also call IndyCar races for the network following the retirement of Bob Jenkins.
