NBC’s Coverage of Day 9 at the 2012 Olympics

Before we list the schedule, let’s go over the latest on NBC’s viewership at the 2012 Olympics.

Through one week (8 nights), NBC is averaging 34.5 million viewers and a 19.2 household rating, The audience is 4.4 million more than 2008 and nearly 8 million more than 2004.  The rating is 10% higher than 2008 and 20% higher than 2004.  Both numbers are the highest for a non-U.S. hosted Olympics since 1976.

NBC also announced that tonight at 7:00p.m. ET it will air Michael Phelps: America’s Golden Champion, a special, intimate look at 18-time gold medalist and 22-time overall Olympic medalist.  Phelps sat down with Bob Costas for an exclusive interview.
