CBS made the news official today, announcing that Rome will be appearing on multiple platforms for the corporation. Rome’s main responsibility will be as host of a daily half-hour program entitled Rome, which will air at 6:00p.m. ET on the CBS Sports Network. That program will begin airing on Tuesday, April 3rd.
Rome will also host a new sports and entertainment series on Showtime and contribute to CBS Sports’ coverage of the NFL, NCAA basketball and U.S. Open Tennis Championships, as well as other select events. Rome, and content from the new shows, will be featured on CBS interactive platforms including CBSSports.com. The Showtime series is slated to start later this fall.

The Big Lead reports that Rome’s ESPN program, Rome is Burning, will end on the network later this month.
