We are beginning the new year by easing back into the Sports Media Weekly Podcast.
Ken Fang of Fang’s Bites joins me despite being under the weather. We lead off the show discussing the content distribution deal between Walt Disney and Comcast. The deal will give Comcast customers access to the properties of ESPN, including the WatchESPN tablet app.
Ken and I discuss the success of the NFL ratings on NBC and Fox, as well as ratings for the NHL Winter Classic and the NBA.
We also touch upon the passing of Jim Huber, a report that Mike Francesa may leave WFAN radio in 2014, and the success of Fox Sports’ Joe Buck on Twitter.
We have no guest this week. We will resume the podcast with guests next week.
