Let’s check out the City of Brotherly Love and the local media that covers the Philadelphia Eagles…
Newspaper- Philadelphia is a two newspaper town owned by one company. Both papers are housed within the same web site. The Philadelphia Inquirer (subscription required) and Philadelphia Daily News (subscription required) sports sections are merged online. Daily News beat writers Les Bowen (Twitter) and Paul Domowitch (Twitter) anchor the paper’s Eagletarian blog. Inquirer beat writers Jeff McLane (Twitter) and Zach Berman (Twitter) also write for the paper’s Bird’s Eye View Blog. There are also a bevy of columnists from both papers who will comment on the Eagles.
Sports Radio- The Eagles have an interesting game day radio agreement. Sports Radio 94 WIP serves as the flagship in the Eagles Radio Network. Merrill Reese serves as the play-by-play voice, joined by Mike Quick with analysis. Philly fans are fortunate to have two sports radio stations to follow the team; WIP and WPEN.
