NFL Local Sports Media- Buffalo Bills

We continue our look at the local media outlets covering their NFL teams with an examination of the sports media that follows the Buffalo Bills

Newspaper- The Buffalo News is the newspaper of record in the city proper. It’s online sports section is rather bland, but does include a special page dedicated to the Bills. Mark Gaughan and Allen Wilson are the paper’s Buffalo beat writers. The News’ sports columnists will also chime in on the club from time to time. The paper does have a dedicated Bills blog, called the BillBoard.

Sports Radio- WGRF-FM and WEDG-FM serve as the play-by-play home of the Bills. John Murphy will handle the call of the games with Alex Van Pelt as game analyst. WGR is the place where fans can talk about the Bills.

Television- On the TV side, local coverage can be found on WGRZ, WIVB, and WKBW.

Blogs- Some of the independent blogs covering the team are Bills Gab, Circling the Wagons, Bills Locker, and Buffalo Ramblings.

We know there are other newspapers and blogs that report on the Bills. Feel free to add those links via our comments.

  1. Alex Van Pelt is not the analyst for the radio call. He has been an assistant for the Bill the last couple of seasons.

    Mark Kelso replaced him.
