Here is our next preliminary round match-up, featuring the highest seed in this round up against the lowest…Fox Sports Radio’s Steve Czaban and the Sporting News Radio’s Arnie Spanier…
Steve Czaban- Steve Czaban joined Fox Sports Radio as an evening talk show host in June 2002, and moved to Morning Drive in January 2005. Czaban doubles as the afternoon drive host at WTEM-AM 980 in Washington D.C. and also fills-in occasionally on the Jim Rome Show. Like Rome, Czaban graduated from UC Santa Barbara (CA) in 1990. Following graduation, he did play-by-play for UCSB Gaucho football and basketball and hosted a sports show on news-talk KTMS-AM 1260 in Santa Barbara (1990-1994). Find out more here.
Arnie Spanier- Talk about a career that has gone full circle. Spanier joined Sporting News Radio after beginning his career with the very same company (as the Sports Entertainment Network). After his debut year on SEN in Las Vegas, Arnie ventured south across the desert to Phoenix, honing his skill at the local level. After two years in PM drive, he was lured back to the network side with One-on-One Sports. Here’s more on Arnie.
Voting ends March 12th.
