All MLB Media is Local- Chicago Cubs

Off to Chicago to examine the local media outlets covering the CHICAGO CUBS.

Newspaper- Chicago is a two newspaper town, with both the Sun Times and the Tribune (subscription may be required) serving the city.  Both papers’ online sports pages provide comprehensive coverage of the Cubs.  Both also have space dedicated to the team.
Sun Times beat writer Gordon Whittenmyer (Twitter) and Chris De Luca (Twitter) help maintain the paper’s Inside the Cubs blog.   The paper has Rick Telander (Twitter), Joe Cowley and Rick Morrissey (Twitter) as columnists who will chime-in on the Cubs.
At the Trib, Paul Sullivan (Twitter) leads the Cubs beat.  Columnists at the paper include David Haugh (Twitter), Steve Rosenbloom (Twitter) and Phil Rogers (Twitter) who will give their opinion on the Cubs.

Sports Radio-  WGN Radio is the home to the Cubs Radio Network.  Pat Hughes and Keith Moreland handle the call. Judd Sirott (Twitter) handles the pre and post game.   Elio Benitez and Hector Fabregas have the Spanish call of the games on WRTO. The Windy City has two sports radio stations that provide plenty of Cubs talk,  WSCR The Score and ESPN 1000AM.

Television-
WGN TV and CSN Chicago have Cubs games on TV. Len Kasper (Twitter) and Jim Deshaies have the call. David Kaplan (Twitter) and Todd Holandsworth handle pre and post game. The local television outlets covering the Cubs include WBBM, WFLD, WLS, WMAQ, and WGN.  And don’t forget ESPN Chicago’s coverage of the Cubs.

Blogs- Bleed Cubbie Blue, View from the Bleachers, Cubbies Crib and Obstructed View are some of the independent Cubs voices.
